Meet the maker - Lou

I’m Lou, and I am based on the South Coast of England. I’ve always been creative and have a deep love for everything handmade.

I became a mum in 2011, and to help with those first-time mum struggles, I started crocheting. It took a while to get the hang of it, but I’ve never looked back.

As my family grew, so did our love for outdoor adventures. We spent countless hours in the woods or along the shore. I found that many high street hats and bonnets didn’t suit, fit, or inspire my boys and their love for nature and the outdoors, so I began creating my own. Most of my designs are original and inspired by my boys, who rigorously test them during our adventures. Over the past four years, my business has grown exponentially, allowing me to support my family through my passion for crochet.

This year, I embarked on a new journey, returning to work as a social media manager by day and continuing to crochet by night. Balancing both roles has been an exciting challenge, but my love for crafting remains at the heart of everything I do.
